Aquarius MIDI is a portable water filtration system operating on the principle of reverse osmosis. The high efficiency of this aquarium filter will provide you and your aquatic friends with truly clean water!

The Osmosis Aquarius Midi aquarium filter provides clean and well-oxygenated water for all aquarium treatments. The filter is great for preparing water for freshwater aquariums.

The filter is made of large, capacious 2.5-inch pre-elements with increased absorption capacity.

How does a reverse osmosis system work?
Reverse osmosis, also called molecular filtration, is a natural process whose essence is the separation of water from substances dissolved in it without the use of chemicals.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a process in which contaminated water penetrates through a semi-permeable membrane.

Water under the influence of pressure, passing through the membrane from a solution of higher concentration to a solution of lower concentration, is permanently separated from contaminants, which are discharged into the sewage.

By using a membrane with a hole size matching the size of pure water molecules, we achieve water separation at the molecular level

The Aquarius MIDI system consists of:

mechanical filter 1µm,
activated carbon filter,
complete membrane housing with flow limiter,
osmotic membrane with a capacity of 75 gpd,
1/2″ connections with a ball valve,
5 meters of hose,
a cap that prevents the osmotic membrane from drying out.
The system is complete and only requires connection to the water supply system.
The set includes commissioning and operating instructions.

Filtration stages:
Linear sedimentation cartridge 1 micron GW-PS1-L25 – mechanical cartridge filled with polypropylene nonwoven fabric. Removes all mechanical impurities larger than 1 µm from water. Perfectly retains sand, rust and suspensions found in water. Recommended cartridge replacement is 6 months.
GW-GAC-L25 linear carbon cartridge – this filter cartridge is filled with activated carbon. Removes up to 98% of free chlorine and multi-molecular organic substances. Improves the smell and taste of water. It is recommended to replace the cartridge every 6 months.
Osmotic membrane 75 gpd – removes 96-99% of all chemical compounds dissolved in water, it is the most important input in the entire water filtration process. The inner side of the membrane causes the flowing water to be partitioned at the molecular level. Then, clean water accumulates in a special pressure tank, while at the same time the separated pollutants go into the sewage system. The efficiency of the membrane is approximately 285 liters per day. Recommended replacement every 36 months.
