It has an open structure and a large filtration surface, which directly translates into excellent flow properties and increased filtering efficiency.

It eliminates the need to change water in urgent situations related to the need to reduce nitrate levels in the aquarium.

Instructions for use
Prior to using Xport NO3 Cubes, mechanical pre-filtration should be used to remove undissolved organic contaminants from the water, which will significantly increase the efficiency of the entire filtration process.
Rinse the Xport NO3 Cubes in purified water or fresh water with a low solute content. Then place them in a clean container and fill with aquarium water from the target tank. Pour the Xport NO3 Cubes cubes contained in the container with MicroBacter 7 in 20 ml proportions for every 150 g of filter medium. Stir your hand and leave the prepared “bath” for 24 hours at room temperature. Take the Xport NO3 Cubes from the container and pour the water into the aquarium. Then place them in a canister filter, filter media reactor or a filter bag filter mesh with an efficiency of 800 μm.
Recommended flow rate: 1-3 times the total volume of water in the tank per hour.
Do not use in fluidization filters. In systems where the initial NO3 concentration is below 40 ppm, start using the medium in the proportions of 150 g of Xport NO3 Cubes per 454 l of water. Increase filter mass by 10% for every 10 ppm NO3 above 40 ppm. The denitrification process usually starts within one week.
Over time, the speed of denitrification increases. Corals and other invertebrates can react negatively to nitrate removal from water too quickly. In this case, reduce the amount of Xport NO3 Cubes filter material by 50% and continue using it until the nitrate concentration in the water drops to the desired level.
Please note that the amount of Xport NO3 Cubes used will need to be changed when the aquarium reaches biological maturity and when the stocking density and / or biomass changes. Denitrification depends on the appropriate availability of organic carbon.
If the NO3 level does not fall further during the first month of application of the product and there was no increase in the biological load, stocking density or amount of nutrients introduced during this period, the possible reason for this is too low level of organic carbon and phosphate in the aquarium. The use of products such as Katalyst, Reef BioFuel or FlorinAxis (planted aquariums) will provide the required carbon in accordance with the instructions, while the use of NeoPhos or Florin-P products will help ensure the proper concentration of phosphorus in the water.
Replace about 1/4 of the used Xport NO3 Cubes cubes every 3-4 months in aquariums with a high biological load and every 6-8 months in aquariums with low nutrient concentration. Placing Xport NO3 Cubes in a line directly behind the Xport Cubes will allow for the highest possible denitrification speed. Xport PO4 Cubes can be placed behind Xport NO3 Cubes to improve phosphate uptake. Do not place Xport-PO4 in front of Xport-NO3 as this will inhibit denitrification.
