Shōka bacteria is a bacterial product containing strains obtained directly from the natural environment. Autotrophic forms of bacteria in a very short time colonize the filter beds and begin to multiply in the aquarium substrate. They effectively accelerate the stabilization of the nitrogen cycle parameters by reducing ammonia NH4 and oxidizing nitrite NO2 to a harmless form. They provide biological balance in the aquarium. There are as many as 5 billion active bacteria in one gram.
In new aquariums: For every 50l of aquarium capacity, sprinkle 1g (1 small flat scoop) onto moist filter cartridges. Wait an hour and then start the filter. As an addition to the substrate: sprinkle the Ganban power base 2g (1 flat large scoop) on the layer for each 50l of aquarium capacity, then cover with a layer of Jiban Soil.
After cleaning the filter / Water change: For every 100l of aquarium capacity, sprinkle 1g (1 small flat scoop) on the biological filter cartridges.
In the event of Cyanosis: Prepare a solution – for each 50 ml of aquarium water, add 1 g (1 flat small scoop), mix thoroughly and draw it into the syringe. The cyanobacteria should be sucked up with a hose and the solution injected into cyanobacteria. When performing the procedure, turn off the filter for about 10 minutes.
