The Foundation range has been specifically formulated to work together for long term use and without compromising other water levels such as ionic balance.

Calcium, Magnesium, Strontium and carbonate are the basic components of coral skeletons and therefore need to be available in balanced proportions for positive coral health and development. As the coral in your reef tank grows the levels of these key elements are diminished and so need to be topped up over time.

Red Sea Reef Foundation B KH/Alkalinity is a balanced supplement designed for balanced formation of the coral skeleton. KH/Alkalinity consists of a complex of carbonate and other buffers that are naturally present in seawater, they aid in maintaining proper alkalinity and pH in order to encourage healthy coral growth.

Liquid supplement: 1ml will raise the Alk level of 100L by 0.036meq/l (0.1dKH).
